About the Composer: Sally K. Albrecht

Sally K. Albrecht has shaped choral music education for over three decades, first as Director of School Choral, Vocal, and Elementary Publications at major educational publishers including Alfred Music, and later as a prolific composer and conductor. Her catalog includes more than 600 published choral works alongside 75 musicals and songbooks; she has received the ASCAP Special Music Award annually since 1987 and has conducted honor choirs at prestigious venues including Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and The Kennedy Center.

Albrecht earned her B.A. in Music and Theater from Rollins College (1976) and both an M.A. in Drama and M.M. in Accompanying from the University of Miami. She has taught at Oakland University, Jersey City State College, and Meredith College, and served as Chair of the Board of Trustees for Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honor Society. In 2021, she received the Distinguished Alumna Award from both the University of Miami Frost School of Music and Rollins College, where she serves on the Board of Trustees.
