Andy Beck

Andy Beck directs choral publications at Alfred Music and has composed and arranged over 450 works for choral and vocal ensembles, with particular strength in children's musicals and educational resources. His pedagogical materials, including Sing at First Sight and Vocalize! 45 Vocal Warm-Ups That Teach Technique, are widely used in schools across the country. Beck holds degrees in music education from Ithaca College and Northwest Missouri State University, and his compositions are performed regularly by choirs worldwide.

Beyond his publishing role, Beck works as a guest conductor, choreographer, clinician, and adjudicator for music educators and students throughout the United States and beyond. He has served as a commissioned composer and guest conductor for honor choirs and all-state ensembles across the Southeast. A tenor himself, he performs with the North Carolina Master Chorale Chamber Choir and has been an Alfred Music studio singer since 1992, bringing practical performance experience to his work as a composer and educator.
