John Kinyon studied at Ithaca College and the Eastman School of Music, later earning an honorary doctorate from Limestone College. His career spans classroom teaching, district leadership, music publishing direction at Warner Brothers Music in New York, and university-level instruction in music education at the University of Miami.
Kinyon has composed more than 250 works for Alfred Music, establishing himself as a cornerstone voice in educational repertoire.
