Ralph Ford has spent nearly three decades in university teaching roles while maintaining a prolific career as a composer and arranger across multiple media. His work spans concert band, orchestra, jazz ensemble, and marching band repertoire, with over 250 titles published through Alfred Music's Belwin division and performed by ensembles ranging from school groups to professional orchestras worldwide.
Beyond the concert hall, Ford has built a substantial portfolio in broadcast and media production, earning international recognition for advertising work and contributing to live radio broadcasts, television productions, and digital media. His arranging career began at fifteen and deepened during his time at Troy State University, where he served as Director of Jazz Ensemble I and staff arranger before earning his Master of Science degree in 1988.
