About the Composer: Ralph Ford

Ralph Ford has spent nearly three decades teaching music at the university level while maintaining a prolific career as a composer and arranger. His work spans concert band, orchestra, jazz ensemble, and marching band repertoire, with over 250 titles published through the Belwin division of Alfred Music and performed by school, community, military, and professional ensembles internationally.

Beyond the concert hall, Ford has contributed extensively to media and broadcast production, including live radio, television commercials, news music packages for national network affiliates, and video production work. He began his professional arranging career at fifteen and served as Director of Jazz Ensemble at Troy State University during his undergraduate years, a role he held for fifteen years. He earned his Master of Science degree in 1988 and has been commissioned frequently throughout his career.
