About the Arranger: Sally K. Albrecht
Sally K. Albrecht brings three decades of experience shaping choral music for educational settings, having served as Director of School Choral, Vocal, and Elementary Publications at major music publishers including Alfred Music. Her work spans over 600 published choral compositions and 75 larger songbooks and musicals, complemented by consistent ASCAP Special Music Awards since 1987. She has conducted honor choirs at prestigious venues including Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and The Kennedy Center, and has taught at Oakland University, Jersey City State College, and Meredith College.
Albrecht's distinctive approach integrates movement and staging into choral performance, a hallmark of her arranging style. She holds degrees from Rollins College (B.A. in Music and Theater, 1976), the University of Miami (M.A. in Drama, 1977; M.M. in Accompanying, 1979), and has earned recognition as a Distinguished Alumna from both institutions. A native of Cleveland, she resides in Wake Forest, North Carolina, with her husband, composer and arranger Jay Althouse.
