About the Arranger: Bob Lipton

Bob Lipton earned his B.M. in music education from San Francisco State University and has spent nearly two decades teaching orchestra and band to middle school students in Silicon Valley. His background as a tuba performer includes appearances with regional symphonies across California (San Jose, Oakland, Napa, Monterey, and Berkeley) as well as notable performances at the San Francisco and Frankfurt Jazz festivals and the Filmfare Awards in Mumbai.

Beyond the classroom, Lipton has toured with the Colombia Artists Bel Canto Brass and performed with the SF 49ers band. He brings this performing experience directly to his arranging work, creating accessible orchestral and band pieces for student ensembles while also maintaining an active arranging practice for brass quintet.
