About the Arranger: Sally K. Albrecht
Sally K. Albrecht has shaped American choral music for over four decades as a composer, conductor, and clinician with a particular gift for integrating movement into choral performance. Since 1987, she has been a consistent recipient of the ASCAP Special Music Award, and her catalog now includes more than 600 published choral works alongside 75 larger stage productions and musicals. Her conducting has taken her across the country to honor choir festivals at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and The Kennedy Center, and she spent more than 30 years directing school choral and vocal publications for major educational publishers, including a long tenure at Alfred Music.
Albrecht holds degrees from Rollins College (B.A. in Music and Theater, 1976), the University of Miami (M.A. in Drama, 1977; M.M. in Accompanying, 1979), and has taught in the music departments at Oakland University, Jersey City State College, and Meredith College. A Cleveland native, she has served as Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honor Society and received their "Pillar of Leadership" award. In 2021, both the University of Miami Frost School of Music and Rollins College recognized her with Distinguished Alumna Awards.
