About the Arranger: Sally K. Albrecht
Sally K. Albrecht has shaped American choral music for over four decades as a composer, arranger, and conductor with deep expertise in movement-integrated choral work. Since 1987, she has received annual ASCAP Special Music Awards and published more than 600 choral pieces, including 75 larger works for stage and concert. She spent three decades leading choral, vocal, and elementary music publishing at major educational houses, most recently as Director of School Choral Publications at Alfred Music, and has conducted honor choirs at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and The Kennedy Center.
Albrecht holds degrees from Rollins College (B.A. in Music and Theater, 1976), the University of Miami (M.A. in Drama, 1977, and M.M. in Accompanying, 1979), and has taught at Oakland University, Jersey City State College, and Meredith College. She served as Chair of the Board of Trustees for Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honor Society and received the "Pillar of Leadership" award. In 2021, both the University of Miami Frost School of Music and Rollins College recognized her with Distinguished Alumna Awards.
