About the Arranger: Jack Zaino

Jack Zaino has shaped choral music education across New England through his dual roles as a classroom teacher and professional arranger. His background spans middle school music instruction in Connecticut public schools, advanced studies in voice and music education at the University of Connecticut (where he earned both a B.A. and B.S.), and a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. He was a founding member of the UConn Chamber Singers and remains an active contributor to Connecticut's choral community.

At Alfred Music, Zaino serves as a choral editor and clinician whose arrangements demonstrate a keen ear for contemporary popular styles. His published work features artists including Kacey Musgraves, Dan + Shay, and Lizzo, each arrangement crafted with genuine artistic integrity rather than simplification. In 2020, Connecticut ACDA recognized his contributions by naming him Young Choral Director of the Year. He currently chairs the composition committee for ACDA's Connecticut chapter and serves on the programming committee for Consonare Choral Community, an organization dedicated to building connection through ensemble singing.
