Dennis Alexander

Dennis Alexander has shaped generations of young pianists through his prolific output of educational repertoire since joining Alfred Music Publishing in 1986. Over 400 compositions and recordings bear his name, establishing him as a cornerstone voice in elementary and intermediate piano pedagogy. He held the piano pedagogy faculty position at the University of Montana for 24 years before moving to California, where he taught at Cal State Fullerton and Cal State Northridge. Alexander's international reach extends beyond the classroom; he has performed as soloist and collaborative artist across North America and Asia, appearing at Carnegie Recital Hall and conducting master classes at the MTNA national convention.

Currently based in Albuquerque, Alexander maintains an active schedule as a composer and clinician while continuing to develop innovative educational materials.
