Why we love this

The Premier Piano Course authors understand exactly what Level 4 pianists are ready for: pieces that build confidence without oversimplifying the music. This digital audio download gives your students a reliable reference for tempo, phrasing, and stylistic interpretation as they work through this lesson, turning solo practice into a more focused learning experience.

What to expect

At this level, students encounter pieces that blend technical growth with genuine musicality. This audio download captures performances that honor both the pedagogical purpose of the material and its musical substance, showing young pianists what their own polished playing can sound like.

Who it's for

Level 4 students working through the Premier Piano Course who benefit from hearing professional interpretations of the repertoire they're learning. This download pairs seamlessly with the corresponding lesson book and gives teachers a tool to support students who learn through listening and modeling.

How to get the most out of it

  • Listen through the entire recording before assigning the piece to get a sense of the overall character and intended tempo.
  • Have students follow the score while listening to identify where they hear specific articulation choices or dynamic shifts that might not be immediately obvious from reading alone.
  • Use selective playback to zoom in on any technically challenging measures and hear how a skilled pianist approaches them.

How to use it

Assign this audio alongside the printed score during lesson preparation so students can establish an accurate mental template before they begin hands-on practice. Teachers can also use it during group classes to demonstrate phrasing or interpretation, then have students apply what they hear to their own playing.

Skills your students will build

  • Listening to recorded reference while reading notation simultaneously
  • Understanding how written markings translate to sound and phrasing
  • Developing accuracy in tempo and rhythmic consistency
  • Building awareness of expressive choices at the keyboard
