About the Composer: Ralph Ford

Ralph Ford has spent nearly three decades teaching at the university level while maintaining an active career as a composer, arranger, and conductor. His professional work spans music, broadcast, and media industries, and he has received international recognition for advertising compositions and multimedia projects including live radio broadcasts, television voice-overs, and news music packages for national networks.

As an exclusive composer and arranger for the Belwin division of Alfred Music, Ford has created over 250 published titles across orchestra, concert band, jazz ensemble, and marching band. His arrangements and compositions have been premiered and performed by university, military, professional, community, and school ensembles worldwide. He began his arranging work at age fifteen in Panama City, Florida, and served as Director of Jazz Ensemble I at Troy State University during his undergraduate years, later joining the faculty as staff arranger and instructor in orchestration, arranging, theory, and jazz studies.
