About the Composer: Jack Bullock

Jack Bullock brings decades of practical music-making experience to his compositions and arrangements. A trained performer on trumpet who played with the Miami Philharmonic Orchestra and Miami Opera Company, he also performed with regional and touring dance ensembles across the country. His educational credentials include undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degrees in Music Education, and he taught instrumental music in classrooms for 20 years, including seven years at Ithaca College where he served as assistant band director and later chaired the Music Education Department.

With over 600 published works across concert band, orchestra, jazz ensemble, and marching band, Bullock has established himself as one of the most prolific composers serving school music programs. He co-authored the Belwin 21st Century Band Method and contributed arrangements to Music Expressions, Alfred Music's school curriculum. A longtime ASCAP member and clinician throughout the United States, Canada, and England, his work consistently balances accessibility with musicality.
