Andy Beck

Andy Beck leads the choral publications division at Alfred Music, where he oversees a catalog of more than 450 works spanning choral arrangements, vocal method books, and children's musicals. His pedagogical resources, including Sing at First Sight and Vocalize! 45 Vocal Warm-Ups That Teach Technique, are foundational tools in many classrooms, and his compositions reach singers across continents through regular YouTube performances by school and community ensembles.

Beyond the page, Beck maintains an active presence as a guest conductor, adjudicator, and clinician for music educators nationwide. He holds degrees in Music Education from Ithaca College and Northwest Missouri State University, sings as a tenor in the North Carolina Master Chorale Chamber Choir, and has contributed to Alfred's recording studio since 1992. His work as a commissioned composer for state honor choirs reflects his deep investment in supporting developing musicians at every level.
