About the Composer: Tyler S. Grant

Tyler S. Grant has established himself as a prolific voice in contemporary concert band music, with works performed regularly by region and all-state ensembles across North America. His composition Panoramic Fanfare won the Dallas Wind Symphony's 2014 "Call for Fanfares" Competition and has since been championed by collegiate and professional ensembles throughout the continent. Since 2010, Grant has maintained a steady output of commissions and new publications while building a reputation as a clinician, having worked with over 100 school programs across more than 15 states.

Beyond composing and arranging, Grant brings conducting experience to his work, with notable appearances at The Midwest Clinic and all-state bands in Nebraska, Oregon, Alabama, Louisiana, South Dakota, and North Dakota. He holds a bachelor's degree in instrumental music education from the University of Alabama, where he studied conducting with Professor Randall Coleman, and credits composer Brian Balmages as a significant influence on his artistic development. His works have been featured at prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall, Music for All's National Concert Band Festival, and the Meyerson Symphony Center.
