About the Composer: Lon Beery
Lon Beery directs six choruses at Spry Middle School in Webster, New York, serving approximately 500 students across the program. His published catalog includes more than 50 compositions and arrangements appearing in Alfred Music, BriLee, and other publishers' collections.
Beery's work has earned recognition from ASCAP, and his compositions have reached prominent stages: his TTBB piece I Believe was performed by the U.S. Army Chorus at President Ronald Reagan's internment service. He contributes regularly to the choral education community through articles in the Choral Journal and Music Educators Journal, and presents at state, regional, and national conferences with ACDA and MENC. He serves as Middle School Chair for New York ACDA.
