About the Composer: Tyler S. Grant

Tyler S. Grant has built a prolific career as a composer and arranger whose works regularly appear on state and all-state honor ensemble programs across North America. His compositions have earned recognition including a 2014 win in the Dallas Wind Symphony's "Call for Fanfares" Competition, and his music is consistently selected for Editor's and Publisher's Choice Repertoire Lists internationally. He maintains an active commission schedule, producing new works for bands and orchestras annually since 2010.

Beyond the composition studio, Grant is a sought-after clinician who has worked with over 100 school music programs across 15 states, and his conducting has been featured at The Midwest Clinic and all-state ensembles throughout the country. He studied instrumental music education and conducting at the University of Alabama under Professor Randall Coleman, and credits composer Brian Balmages as instrumental to his development as a creative musician. Grant's works have been performed at prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall, Music for All's National Concert Band Festival, and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
