About the Composer: Vince Gassi

Vince Gassi has built a prolific composing and conducting career spanning over two decades in music education. His catalog exceeds 100 published works, many of which appear on festival and contest programs across North America, Europe, and Japan. He holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Western Ontario, studied composition and arranging at the Dick Grove School of Music in Los Angeles, and earned his Ph.D. from York University in Toronto.

For 25 years, Gassi taught instrumental music at elementary and secondary levels while establishing himself as a guest conductor, adjudicator, and clinician throughout the United States and Canada. His workshop seminars address creative engagement and digital workflows for music directors. His pieces are regular fixtures at prestigious venues including the Midwest Clinic in Chicago, and he continues to receive commissions from ensembles seeking music that is both challenging and rewarding.
