About the Composer: JaRod Hall
JaRod Hall was born in Texas in 1991 and earned degrees in music education from the University of North Texas and composition from Texas State University. His training spans multiple disciplines: he studied tuba with Don Little, composition with Dr. Michael Ippolito and Dr. Jack Wilds, and conducting with Dr. Nicholas Williams and Dr. Caroline Beatty.
As an eight-year band director, Hall built a legacy of award-winning ensembles, including the first middle school band in Frisco ISD history to earn the state's Citation of Excellence. He performed principal tuba with the Texas State Wind Symphony and holds the distinction of being a four-time Texas All-State Band member, including selection as first-chair jazz bass trombone in the state. His compositions have been recognized on the Texas Prescribed Music List, the J.W. Pepper Editor's Choice list, and the Bandworld Top 100 list.
