About the Arranger: Jack Bullock

Jack Bullock brings decades of real-world experience across performance, composition, and teaching to everything he arranges. A trumpet performer who has worked with the Miami Philharmonic Orchestra and Miami Opera Company, as well as regional and touring dance bands, he understands how musicians actually play and what sits comfortably in their hands. His formal training in music education (undergraduate through doctorate) and his 20 years teaching instrumental music in public school classrooms, including seven years as an assistant band director at Ithaca College's School of Music, ground his arranging work in pedagogical clarity and ensemble pragmatism.

Bullock has published over 600 compositions and arrangements across concert band, orchestra, jazz ensemble, and marching band. He co-authored the Belwin 21st Century Band Method and contributed arrangements to Music Expressions, Alfred Music's school curriculum. His work is widely performed in school music programs across North America, and he has conducted clinics and workshops throughout the United States, Canada, and England. He has been an ASCAP member since 1980.
