About the Composer: Russell Robinson

Russell Robinson's career spans five decades of conducting, composing, and music education leadership across six continents. He served as Emeritus Professor of Music Education at the University of Florida and held roles including Associate Dean of the UF College of the Arts and National Collegiate Chair for the National Association for Music Education. His conducting appearances at venues such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, and the White House, combined with his work at festivals and conferences worldwide, have established him as a prominent voice in choral music education.

Robinson's prolific output includes over 500 publications in print: choral compositions, arrangements, instructional articles, books, and DVDs. He was inducted into the Florida Music Educators Association Hall of Fame in 2016 and served as FMEA President. His compositional voice reflects a deep understanding of what works in the rehearsal room and on the concert stage.
