About the Arranger: Timothy Loest

Timothy Loest has spent over thirty years in the middle school classroom while building an international reputation as a composer and arranger for young musicians. His works are performed regularly across the country, and his influence extends through pedagogical partnerships with best-selling method books including Measures of Success and Warm-ups and Beyond. In 2017, his composition Cloud Gate drew over 5,000 spectators at Chicago's Millennium Park, and that same year he received the Illinois Grade School Music Association's Cloyd Myers Memorial Award for Excellence in Music Education.

Beyond the concert hall, Loest's music has reached national audiences through television appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Good Morning America, and other major networks. He founded Fanfare Music Press in 2022 to publish high-quality band compositions and arrangements. A graduate of Illinois State University and Northwestern University, Loest holds membership in ASCAP and continues to accept commissions for band and ensemble works.
