About the Composer: Todd Stalter

Todd Stalter built his reputation over 34 years as Director of Bands at Eureka High School in Illinois, where his ensembles earned 16 state marching championships and consistent Superior ratings at IHSA contests. His bands performed at Orchestra Hall in Chicago and Walt Disney World, and he was inducted into the Illinois State Marching Band Championships Hall of Fame. Beyond his high school leadership, Stalter has conducted All-State Bands in Georgia and Delaware, adjudicated extensively across the country, and presented clinics on composition and music education at regional and state conferences.

As a composer and arranger, Stalter's works for band and string orchestra have found their way onto state contest lists nationwide and into the "Teaching Music Through Performance in Band" series published by GIA. He holds degrees in music education and trumpet performance from Illinois State University, where he studied under accomplished musicians including Richard Lehman of the President's Own United States Marine Band.
