Timothy Loest brings three decades of classroom experience into every score he writes. His works have reached audiences across the country, from concert halls to network television appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Good Morning America. In 2017, his composition Cloud Gate drew over 5,000 spectators at Chicago's Millennium Park, and that same year he earned the Illinois Grade School Music Association's Cloyd Myers Memorial Award for Excellence in Music Education.

Loest's influence on instrumental pedagogy runs deep. He collaborated on widely adopted method books including Measures of Success: A Comprehensive Musicianship Band Method and the Warm-ups and Beyond series. His publishing history spans major houses like Warner Bros. Publications, C.L. Barnhouse, and The FJH Music Company. In 2022, he founded Fanfare Music Press to focus on high-quality compositions and arrangements for band.
