Incidental Etude

Think of 'incidental' as the music to project a mood, to transport the listener, to bring various points together. This musical dialogue has hints of Bartók but is purely Weber. It's an impressive piece which sounds more difficult than it is. It does, however, require careful preparation to keep it crisp and clean at performance tempo. Patterns lie nicely under the hands, making this work accessible to the energetic intermediate pianist. This is a winner, intermediate category, of the 1994 composition competition of The National Conference on Piano Pedagogy.
