Andy Beck

Andy Beck leads Alfred Music's choral publications division and has established himself as one of the most performed contemporary choral composers, with more than 450 works in active circulation worldwide. His compositions and arrangements span sacred music, secular choral works, and children's musicals, all written with a keen understanding of what singers need to grow. As a vocalist trained at Ithaca College and Northwest Missouri State University, Beck writes from the inside out, informed by decades of performing and directing across multiple genres including musical theatre and chamber choral ensembles.

Beyond the printed page, Beck remains deeply engaged in music education through guest conducting, adjudication, and clinician work. He has served as composer and conductor for honor choirs and all-state groups, particularly throughout the Southeast, and maintains a studio artist relationship with Alfred Music since 1992.
