About the Composer: Kirk Vogel
Kirk Vogel earned his Bachelor of Music Education from Capital University and his Master's degree from the University of Northern Colorado. Throughout his career in Colorado public schools, he taught band, orchestra, choir, and jazz ensemble at multiple levels, earning recognition when his ensembles performed at state conventions and national conferences.
As a composer, Vogel has built a substantial catalog published by Alfred Music, Kjos, and other major houses. His works have won recognition in the Colorado Music Educators Association Composers Competition and been performed by the Pittsburgh Symphony, community bands, and student ensembles across the country. He remains active as a guest conductor, adjudicator, and clinician, and holds membership in ASCAP.
