About the Composer: Glenda Franklin

Glenda Franklin brings four decades of Georgia music education experience to her compositions. Her career spans middle and high school classrooms, private studio instruction in piano, voice, and organ, and leadership roles as conductor, adjudicator, and accompanist for district and state honor choruses, large group evaluations, and Georgia All-State Chorus. She holds degrees from Brenau University and Piedmont College and has earned recognition as a three-time Who's Who nominee and Teacher of the Year honoree.

Franklin's published works appear with Alfred Music, Carl Fischer, Shawnee Press, Chorister's Guild, and BriLee Publishing. Twenty-two of her compositions currently sit on Georgia's Large Group Performance Evaluation required music list, and her pieces regularly appear on state and festival selections across multiple states. She is an active member of NAfME, GMEA, ASCAP, and several education honor societies, and resides in Clarkesville, Georgia.
