Melody Bober composes piano music with a clear pedagogical purpose: to deepen her students' musicianship while genuinely engaging them with the material. She earned a bachelor's degree in music education from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana (summa cum laude) and a Master of Arts in piano performance from Minnesota State University, Moorhead, studying with respected teachers including Joel Shapiro, Andrew Froelich, Mary Hoffman, and Tony Caramia.

Bober brings two decades of public school teaching experience, university-level instruction, and a thriving private piano studio to her composing work. She has served as a church pianist, accompanist, and music director, and is recognized across North America as a clinician and workshop presenter for piano teachers. She resides in Minnesota.
