Carl Strommen has established himself as one of the most widely performed composers and arrangers across band, orchestra, jazz ensemble, and vocal music in the United States and internationally. His work appears consistently in concert halls, on television, and in film; he remains highly sought as both a clinician and commissioned composer, earning the ASCAP Standard Writers Award annually throughout his career.

A City College of New York graduate, Strommen maintains active ties to music education as an adjunct professor of orchestration and composition at Long Island University's C.W. Post Campus. He divides his time between Long Island and extended stays in the Denver and Boulder, Colorado areas with his family.
