Penny Rodriguez grew up in Peru, where she began piano study at age 6 while her parents worked as missionaries. She completed formal training in piano performance at Moody/American Conservatory of Music and has built a multifaceted career as a pianist, composer, and recording artist with 11 albums to her name.

Rodriguez has published numerous piano works and choral compositions throughout her career. In recent years, she has concentrated on art songs for solo voice and piano, pairing original compositions with carefully selected poetry. She lives in the Indianapolis area with her husband, Dave, where family time with their grandchildren remains central to her life.
