About the Arranger: Sally K. Albrecht
Sally K. Albrecht has shaped American choral education through decades of prolific composition and arrangement. Since 1987, she has received annual ASCAP Special Music Awards and published over 600 choral works alongside 75 songbooks and musicals. She has conducted honor choirs at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and The Kennedy Center, and spent more than 30 years directing school choral and vocal publications for major educational publishers, including Alfred Music.
Albrecht earned a B.A. from Rollins College (1976) in Music and Theater, followed by an M.A. in Drama (1977) and an M.M. in Accompanying (1979) from the University of Miami. She has taught at Oakland University, Jersey City State College, and Meredith College. In 2021, she received the Distinguished Alumna Award from both the University of Miami Frost School of Music and Rollins College. Based in Wake Forest, North Carolina with composer and arranger Jay Althouse, she continues to create accessible, engaging music for developing choirs.
