About the Composer: Andy Beck
Andy Beck directs choral publications at Alfred Music and has composed and arranged more than 450 choral works performed by singers across the globe. His catalog spans concert repertoire, vocal resources, and children's musicals, alongside widely-used instructional publications on sight-singing and vocal technique. As a tenor, guest conductor, and clinician, he has led honor choirs and all-state ensembles throughout the Southeast and maintains an active schedule adjudicating and teaching at music conferences nationwide.
Beck holds degrees in music education from Ithaca College and Northwest Missouri State University. Beyond his work at Alfred, he sings with the North Carolina Master Chorale Chamber Choir and has directed and performed in musical theatre. His commitment to choral artistry and music literacy shapes both his original compositions and the publications he oversees.
