JaRod Hall

JaRod Hall brings a decade of successful band directing to his compositional work. Based in Texas, he earned degrees in music education and composition from the University of North Texas and Texas State University, studying conducting with Nicholas Williams and Caroline Beatty while developing his craft under Michael Ippolito and Jack Wilds. His middle school and high school ensembles have consistently earned sweepstakes recognition at UIL evaluations, with his 2018 non-varsity band at Griffin Middle School becoming the first in Frisco ISD to win the Citation of Excellence, an honor recognizing the top two non-varsity bands statewide.

As a performer, Hall has appeared with the North Texas Wind Symphony, the 3 O'Clock Lab Band, Texas State's wind ensembles, and the Carrollton Wind Symphony, and he served as principal tuba with the Texas State Wind Symphony. A four-time Texas All-State Band member and 2014 Disneyland All-American College Band musician, he also performed as drum major for the 2013 Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps. His compositions have earned placement on the Texas Prescribed Music List, J.W. Pepper's Editor's Choice selections, and the Bandworld Top 100, with his brass fanfare "Silver Fanfare" winning the 2020 Dallas Winds Call for Fanfares and "Through the Storm" receiving the 2021 Barbara Buehlman Prize for middle school band.
