Description
The title CompleX-2030 was inspired by the title given to plan created in 2000 by the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) to modernize nuclear weaponry. Premiered by the Georgia Music Educators Association District X honor band in February of 2012 by the composer, the work is a mental 'soundtrack' he generated while reading a book detailing this initiative. Ralph Ford

Ralph Ford (b. 1963) has built a career spanning university instruction, commercial media work, and concert music composition. Over 250 of his titles are published by the Belwin division of Alfred Music, reaching orchestras, concert bands, jazz ensembles, and marching groups worldwide. His background includes fifteen years as Director of Jazz Ensemble I and staff arranger at Troy State University, where he earned his Master of Science degree in 1988 while teaching orchestration, arranging, theory, and applied brass.

Beyond the concert hall, Ford has worked extensively in broadcast and media production, earning international advertising awards for commercial work and producing music packages for national television affiliates. His career as a professional arranger began at age fifteen in Panama City, Florida, and his compositions have been premiered and performed by university, military, professional, and school ensembles across the globe.
