Carl Strommen stands among the most frequently performed composer/arrangers working in band, orchestra, jazz, and vocal music today. His works appear regularly in concert halls, on television, and in film scores, and he maintains an active schedule as both a clinician and commission writer. His consistent output has earned him the annual ASCAP Standard Writers Award throughout his career.

Strommen holds a degree from City College of New York and currently serves as an adjunct professor of orchestration and composition at C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University in Brookville, New York. He resides on Long Island and maintains strong ties to the Rocky Mountain region through extended family time in Denver and Boulder, Colorado.
