About the Composer: Tyler S. Grant

Tyler S. Grant has built a distinctive reputation as a composer and arranger whose works appear regularly on honor ensemble programs and repertoire lists across North America and beyond. His compositions have been performed at major venues including Carnegie Hall, the Meyerson Symphony Center, and The Midwest Clinic, and his fanfare Panoramic Fanfare won the Dallas Wind Symphony's 2014 competition before gaining performances by collegiate and professional ensembles throughout the continent. Since 2010, he has maintained a steady output of commissions and new publications while also serving as a clinician with over 100 school programs across more than 15 states.

Beyond the composer's desk, Grant brings conducting experience and pedagogical insight to his work. He earned his bachelor's degree in instrumental music education from the University of Alabama, where he studied conducting with Professor Randall Coleman, and has served as a clinician at The Midwest Clinic and all-state bands in six states. He also contributed to Alfred Music's Sound Innovations: Ensemble Development series and has been featured in interviews across podcasts and publications including School Band & Orchestra Magazine and The Instrumentalist.
