About the Arranger: Robert Sheldon

Robert Sheldon's arrangements and compositions for wind band have become standard repertoire in schools worldwide. His work consistently appears on state contest lists and honor band programs, earning recognition from the American School Band Director's Association, Phi Beta Mu, and ASCAP. Beyond composing, Sheldon serves as lead author of Sound Innovations for Concert Band and maintains an active schedule as guest conductor, clinician, and commissioned composer.

Sheldon has conducted his own works at Carnegie Hall, Orchestra Hall, Boston Symphony Hall, the Sydney Opera House, and the Kennedy Center. His teaching and conducting have taken him across the United States and internationally to Japan, Canada, Italy, Germany, Australia, and China. In 2020, VanderCook College of Music awarded him an honorary doctorate in recognition of his contributions to music education.
