About the Composer: Kris Berg
Kris Berg directs the jazz program at Collin County Community College in Texas and holds degrees in jazz studies from the University of North Texas. His tenure has made Collin's ensembles fixtures at the Montreux Jazz Festival, and he founded both the Collin Jazz Fest and the Texas All-Star Jazz Camp.
Berg's arrangements and compositions are performed worldwide and have established him as a prolific big band writer for Belwin Jazz. He remains active as a clinician and artist for Yamaha, has collaborated with world-class soloists including Kurt Elling, Randy Brecker, and Peter Erskine, and authored the widely used Bass Lines in Minutes method book.
