Andy Beck

Andy Beck directs choral publications at Alfred Music and has composed and arranged over 450 choral works, vocal resources, and children's musicals that remain in active performance across the globe. His published vocal pedagogies—Sing at First Sight, Foundations in Choral Sight Singing, and Vocalize! 45 Vocal Warm-Ups That Teach Technique—have shaped how countless teachers approach choral literacy and technique. A tenor himself, Beck has performed with the North Carolina Master Chorale Chamber Choir and served as an Alfred Music studio singer since 1992.

Beyond his prolific catalogue, Beck works regularly as a guest conductor, choreographer, adjudicator, and clinician for music educators nationwide. He has been commissioned by and conducted honor choirs across the Southeast, including multiple all-state groups. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Ithaca College and a Master's degree in Music Education from Northwest Missouri State University, bringing trained expertise in both the creative and pedagogical dimensions of choral music.
