About the Composer: Steve Hodges

Steve Hodges studied music education at Western Oregon University and Central Washington University, earning degrees that shaped forty years of work directing bands, choirs, and ensembles across public school systems. Since 1986, he has composed over 120 concert band works published by Alfred Music, with additional choral arrangements released through Staff Music and Shawnee Press.

Hodges' compositions have traveled internationally and appeared at festivals, state conventions, and on TBS and ESPN broadcasts. His commissioned works span honor bands and schools from Virginia to British Columbia. A member of ASCAP, he continues to live in The Dalles, Oregon, where he remains active in community music and watches his grandchildren discover his pieces in their own school band programs.
