Dennis Alexander

Dennis Alexander has been composing educational piano music for over four decades, establishing himself as one of the most frequently published composers in the field. Since 1986, his partnership with Alfred Music Publishing has resulted in more than 400 compositions and recordings that span all student levels, earning him international recognition among piano teachers and students worldwide.

Alexander's teaching career was anchored by 24 years at the University of Montana, where he directed the piano department and taught applied piano, class piano, and piano pedagogy. He later taught at Cal State Fullerton and Cal State Northridge before settling in Albuquerque, where he continues an active composing schedule.
