About the Composer: Lon Beery

Dr. Lon Beery directs six choruses at Spry Middle School in Webster, New York, serving approximately 500 students across middle school grade levels. His compositional catalog includes over 50 published choral works distributed through Alfred Music, BriLee, and other publishers, and his TTBB composition I Believe was performed by the U.S. Army Chorus at President Ronald Reagan's internment service.

Beery's contributions to choral music education extend beyond the rehearsal room. He has received multiple ASCAP Standard Awards for his compositions, published articles in the Choral Journal and Music Educators Journal, and presented sessions at state, regional, and national conferences for ACDA and MENC. He currently serves as the Middle School Chair for New York ACDA.
