About the Composer: Carl Strommen

Carl Strommen has established himself as a prolific voice across band, orchestra, jazz ensemble, and vocal literature. His works appear regularly on concert stages, in television productions, and in film scores, and he maintains an active schedule as both a clinician and commissioned composer. The ASCAP Standard Writers Award has recognized his output annually.

A graduate of City College of New York, Strommen currently serves as adjunct professor of orchestration and composition at C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University. He divides his time between Long Island and Colorado, where he maintains close ties with family in the Denver and Boulder area.
