About the Composer: Sally K. Albrecht
Sally K. Albrecht brings three decades of publishing experience and a gift for choral movement to her compositions. As Director of School Choral, Vocal, and Elementary Publications at Alfred Music, she shaped the landscape of accessible choral repertoire. A frequent clinician and honor choir conductor at major venues including Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and The Kennedy Center, Albrecht has earned the ASCAP Special Music Award every year since 1987 and maintains over 600 published choral works in active circulation.
Albrecht holds degrees from Rollins College (B.A. in Music and Theater, 1976), the University of Miami (M.A. in Drama and M.M. in Accompanying), and has taught at Oakland University, Jersey City State College, and Meredith College. She received the Distinguished Alumna Award from both the University of Miami Frost School of Music and Rollins College in 2021. She resides in Wake Forest, North Carolina, with her husband, composer and arranger Jay Althouse.
