Jack Bullock

Jack Bullock brings decades of performing and teaching experience to his work as a composer and arranger. A trumpet performer who worked with the Miami Philharmonic Orchestra and Miami Opera Company, as well as regional and touring ensembles, he understands what it takes to build musical skill from the ground up. He holds degrees in music education at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels, and spent 20 years teaching instrumental music in schools, including seven years as an assistant band director at Ithaca College's School of Music.

Bullock has authored more than 600 published compositions and arrangements spanning concert band, orchestra, jazz ensemble, and marching band. His work on the Belwin 21st Century Band Method reflects his commitment to sequential, thoughtful pedagogy and his belief that students learn best when motivated by familiar melodies, varied musical styles, and frequent opportunities to play together. He served as chair of the Music Education Department at Ithaca College and has conducted clinics across the United States, Canada, and England.
