About the Arranger: Andrew Bruhn

Andrew Bruhn brings together his experience as a conductor, composer, and performer to create music that works in real ensemble rooms. He serves as Director of Choral Music at Rockford Christian Schools in Illinois, where he teaches choirs across grades 6-12 alongside theory and piano, and also directs the choir at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Rockford. His compositions and arrangements are published by Choristers Guild, GIA, Alfred Music, Carl Fischer, Paraclete Press, Concordia, and other major publishers, performed regularly by ensembles from elementary through university levels.

Bruhn studied composition with David Cherwien and Alice Parker, and earned his Master of Sacred Music in choral conducting from Luther Seminary and St. Olaf College under conductors Anton Armstrong, Christopher Aspaas, and Mark Stover. His school choirs have earned superior ratings in contest competitions and performed at the Illinois Music Education Conference. His work has been recognized with a nomination for the Golden Apple Teaching Award and selection as a J.W. Pepper Editors' Choice winner twice. He was also a semi-finalist for The American Prize in Choral Composition in 2019.
