Scott Watson brings four decades of classroom experience to his work as a composer and educator. After 35 years directing bands and coordinating string programs in the Parkland School District near Allentown, Pennsylvania, he now serves as Associate Professor of Music at Cairn University. His output spans more than 120 published works across concert band, string orchestra, and chamber settings, each one shaped by his deep knowledge of both contemporary classical music and the practical realities of the rehearsal room.

Watson's compositions have reached audiences at major venues including the Academy of Music in Philadelphia, the Midwest Clinic in Chicago, and the White House. He holds the role of exclusive composer and clinician for Alfred Publications, contributes to their Sound Innovations series, and authored the influential text Using Technology to Unlock Musical Creativity (Oxford University Press, 2011). His work frequently appears at festivals and competitions across the country, and he continues to lead workshops and guest conduct for honor bands and festival ensembles.
