Roland Barrett has been shaping musicians and composing music at the University of Oklahoma since 2001, where he serves on the theory and composition faculty. His teaching spans 20th century topics across undergraduate and graduate levels, while he simultaneously arranges music for the Pride of Oklahoma marching band. Over two hundred published works and arrangements bear his name, and his compositions have earned performances from the Dallas Wind Symphony, All-State and All-Region bands, and features on NPR and major conference stages. Barrett is a multiple recipient of the ASCAPlus award and holds recognition from the International Trumpet Guild and National Trumpet Competition.
